About the Studio
A small workshop with a very steady hand.
Lumen & Oak began the way most good workshops do — one machine, a stack of offcuts, and a stubborn belief that a gift should feel like it was meant for exactly one person.
We work in two materials because we know them properly. Cast acrylic takes an impossibly clean edge and holds light like water, which is why it makes such a good award. Hardwood does the opposite — it absorbs, it warms, it carries the grain of the tree it came from into whatever we engrave on it. Between the two we can make almost anything worth keeping.
There is no product catalogue here, and that is deliberate. You bring us the occasion, the logo, the phrase, the rough sketch on the back of an envelope — and we come back with a proof, a price and an honest timeline.
Designed with you, not at you
We send a digital proof before a single sheet is cut, and we keep revising until it is right.

Cast acrylic, and FSC-sourced birch, walnut, maple and oak. No laminate pretending to be timber.

Single commissions are as welcome as a full conference run — the care per piece does not change.
